Yaargh!
I've had it with freaking FrontPage. I never should have bought that
piece of crap, but at the time, it was much cheaper than DreamWeaver and I
had no clue how vastly superior DreamWeaver was.
At work, I use an old version of DreamWeaver (4.0), and it's great.
Unfortunately, I'm at home, where I'm still paying the price for buying
FrontPage 2000 an ice age ago.
I may yet break down and buy DreamWeaver MX 2004. My wife's a teacher,
and it looks like thanks to that, we'd qualify for the educational pricing
(~$100), but in the meantime, I'm hoping to find something decent that
works on Windows and is free (as-in-speech). I've found a few
free-as-in-beer downloads, but some of them are obnoxious nagware and I'm
hoping to find something decent that runs on Windows and is GPL'd.
I've been using the GIMP (2.0) all day to create logos and other graphic
elements for the site I'm building, so I know GPL'd stuff can be damn
powerful and easy enough to use.
Is there anything comparable to the GIMP for HTML editing that runs on
Windows?
Or am I stuck buying DreamWeaver?
