Anyone still here? Last post in Sept of 06?
Not sure when I last posted here, so part of the fault is mine. :-)

Got remarried and now I am in Akron Ohio. Working in Cleveland. I miss
my Phoenix job but not much else from there. Traffic and pollution
just got too much for me, guess I am getting old. I am working for
Philips Medical testing CT scanners. Boring job, not much electronics,
mainly mechanical, but it pays really well for this state.

Isn't Cleveland the armpit of the nation ?:-)

There's hardly ever any posting here.

I guess everyone left the Phoenix area (except me... been here 45
years now ;-)

I thought New Jersey was the armpit? Maybe that is the a@#hole? :-)

I was born in Ohio, we moved to Phoenix when I was 10. I always wanted
to move "home", after a divorce and remarriage I decided it was time.
Been here just over a year. Mostly still glad I did it, but man talk
about culture shock! Funny thing is my wife, who was living in Phoenix
since she was 3, loves this even more than I do. I wanted to move home
last summer, job and all not going well, but she wouldn't let me. Said
I could go but she was staying. After visiting family in Phoenix over
Christmas, I am glad I didn't. Not having been back there I got so
sick from the pollution(I have asthma) I doubt if I will ever go back
during the winter again.

Glad to see someone at least is still around. I was just rereading old
posts here(I have to use Goggle for news these days) and remembered
how much fun this place was.

Dry can be bad :-( I'm healthier (nasal wise) in a humid climate, but
absolutely hate rain and snow.

My wife and I moved from Phoenix to Monterey about a year and a half ago.
It was for family reasons, but I don't miss Phoenix at all. Lived there 12
years, and the first thing we noticed when we moved here was the lack of
noise. No (Mesa) police helicoptors flying over our house at all times of
the day and only the occassional plane, which is usually some small prop
plane.

We're heading back to Phx in the middle of May for a wedding, and it'll be
the first time back for me in almost 2 years. I'll bet all the traffic
problems have been solved since we left. ;-)

I'm still in Phoenix. My parents moved here when I was six and I haven't
seen the need to leave. The more I travel, the more I love Phoenix.

The pollution was really bad in Fall '05/Winter '06 because of the five or
six straight months with no measurable rainfall. This fall/winter has
been much better. The pollution last year really did a number on my
then-one-year-old. He coughed so much that we started him on a daily dose
of Claritin and it helped a lot.

Traffic still sucks, but at least the scenery's nice and the weather is
damn pleasant when it's not 105+. And the Suns might win a championship
this year if something bad doesn't happen to them and Dallas finally
slumps.

Plus we have Cactus League right now.

As one of the few left still using Primenet/GlobalCenterCrossing
(***@primenet.com) it is appropriate for me to note that will
probably not be doing so much longer. I've been admitted to
Duke Law School in Durham NC, as well as Cornell Law
up in Ithaca NY, and will likely be moving to one of
those places before August ...

Will there be anyone left reading this newsgroup
who has an active Primenet emaila addrtess after that ?

Congratulations on getting into those schools. I know you and I have had
our disagreements in the past, but I wish you the best in the future.
