In case any of the old Primenetters are in the SF Bay area, I've been
selected as one fo the 40 bands that will perform at the Wharf to Wharf this
year. I'll be set up around mile 5 at East Cliff with my back to the ocean,
although I have to admit that I don't know exactly where that will be. I
will received a letter in early July with the details.

Race information: www.wharftowharf.com

Once I got that notification, I also started a Myspace page:
www.myspace.com/montereyguitarist

I tried to stay away from Myspace, but once I got this show, then I felt it
was time to make one. I also went up to Campbell on Saturday and recorded
11 songs on my guitar. The first two songs listed on the Myspace page are 2
of the 11 songs. I will be heading back to the studio in a month or so to
record another 10 or so songs, and then I should have enough to create my
first CD. I have copyright issues to work out, thus the reason I'm in no
hurry to get this out.

The very cool thing about this race is that I've not only run it the past 2
years, but that this has been a goal of mine for the past 2 years. I just
wasn't at the talent level before now to apply for it. And, this kind of
staggers my mind: I'll be playing for 15,000+ people, albeit that they will
all only hear me for about 30 seconds each. Should be a fun time!

Cool. Congratulations.

I don't expect to be in the Bay area any time soon, but I wish you the
best.

Thanks, Paul. Is exciting for me and is something I'm really looking
forward to.

Since I wrote this, I've had a major change in my guitar playing, and that
is that I should have my first CD out by the end of June. I've finished the
recording aspect of it, and now it's time for me to the the copyright
licenses for the songs I didn't write. Then the cover and liner notes, and
it's off to the duplicators. I'll send a quick note when they are ready for
sale in case any of the three people who still read this NG are interested.
The CD will be all acoustic guitar, no singing, not background instruments.

To the thousands reading this NG, I received my CDs yesterday, and they are
on sale for $10/each. This includes shipping by regular ol' US Mail.

If interested, send me an email and I'll throw you some instructions. I
should have this available for online purchase in the near future, but for
the time being, I have the physiocal CDs in jewel cases available now.

I made an initial run of 100 copies, and if those should sell, I'll see
about having some more made up.
