Budget cuts. My usual great timing.
The contract agency I am with is looking around, they have a few
places in mind. In fact I had an interview this morning, but the job
isn't anywhere near as good as this one.
But I may not have a choice. This job is over the end of the month. My
position wasn't approved for next quarter.
Well, it was fun while it lasted. Back to the normal job hell.
Assuming I can get a job.

Ouch. My condolences. Good luck on the job hunt.

Thanks. I just turned down the only job offer I have had so far. The
job just really wasn't right for me, but it was a tough decision. No
income is no fun. Fortunately my wife is working, not enough for all
the bills, but we won't starve.
Ohio isn't the best place for electronic techs.

p.s. are we the only ones left?

Dang, less than a month. Sorry to hear about that, Russ. You'll find
something soon enough, and I'm like you that I won't take a job that could
be a long time position if I don't like the job. I can do anything for a
couple of weeks (meaning a temp agency if push came to shoove), but it's not
fair to you or the company if you go into it knowing that you're only going
to be there a few days/weeks/months because you hate the job or company.

I'm still around and check here about once a week. It's usually quiet.

I did have a question: Doesn't Hosun live in the San Jose area? I remember
few a long time ago that he was doing something in Santa Clara, but I don't
remember if it was temporary. I've moved to Monterey and was wondering if
he was a few hours north of me.

Last I heard, he'd moved to SoCal (San Diego?) to go to grad school. I
think he was going for an MBA. Then, he dropped out of sight.

I'm still here, waiting for a Primenet resurrection.
